【経営管理専攻　研究者養成コース】
一橋大学大学院経営管理研究科経営管理専攻研究者養成コースは、将来、商学・経営学分野で研究・教育に携わることを希望する学生のためのコースです。①商学・経営学分野に深い関心を抱き、②自分で問いを立ててそれを解き明かす意欲を備え、③自分が取り組む領域の研究を始めるに足るリテラシー（専門分野に係る深い学識および高い語学力）と思考力を身につけており、④社会科学の健全な発展に貢献するための高い倫理性を有する学生を求めています。

そのような学生を選抜するために、入学者選抜では、論述試験に加えて、研究計画書をはじめとする提出資料や、思考力や研究計画等を確認する口述試験を通じて、受験者の能力と意欲を多面的に評価しています。

【国際企業戦略専攻　DBAプログラム】
Applications are accepted twice a year, Round1 (from September to October) and Round2 (from March to April).

There are two phases to the admissions process. The first phase is the evaluation of application forms. Hitotsubashi ICS evaluates the applicants on a variety of criteria, including the most recent TOEFL or IELTS scores, and GMAT or GRE scores. In addition, the DBA program requires two or more years of work experience, a statement of purpose and a research proposal, two letters of recommendation, and transcripts for both undergraduate and graduate programs. Applicants who are selected in the first phase then proceed to the in-person interview in the second phase. The DBA Admissions Committee consisting of full-time Hitotsubashi ICS faculty members will make the admissions decisions and notify the applicants.

As described above, applicants are expected to have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience and an MBA (or an equivalent graduate degree) to enroll in the program. An applicant who does not fulfill this requirement may request a waiver. In such a case, the DBA Admissions Committee will take into consideration both academic and professional qualifications of the applicant. The Committee will then determine whether the applicant has the potential to enroll in the DBA program, and to apply to the program.

【経営管理専攻　研究者養成コース】
一橋大学大学院経営管理研究科経営管理専攻研究者養成コース（以下、研究者養成コース）のカリキュラムの目的は、①創造的な研究成果を世に問うことができる高い研究能力、②学界において「知の発展」をグローバルに牽引するリーダーシップ、③社会科学の健全な発展に貢献するための高い倫理性を涵養することにあります。

その目的の達成に向けて研究者養成コースでは、コースワークおよび演習を通じて、商学・経営学分野における古典から最先端の研究成果まで幅広い内容を学ぶことができます。

コースワークでは、基本的なレベルとして400番台科目が、応用的な領域として500番台科目が、さらに博士後期課程のみを対象とする600番台科目が設定されています。これらの科目は、商学・経営学の学問領域を網羅して堅固な知的基盤を築き、研究能力を着実に高めることができるように、体系的に構成されています。

演習では、専門分野で高い研究能力を有する教員からきめ細かな研究指導を受けることができます。

以上のような体系的なプログラムを通じた学習の達成度を確認するために、本専攻では、ビジネススクール国際認証に対応した「学びの質保証」（Assurance of Learning）を実現するための調査を、継続的に実施しています。その結果は、各科目の内容およびカリキュラム全体の改善に活用されています。

【国際企業戦略専攻　DBAプログラム】
The DBA program aims to recognize the individual needs and strengths of students. In the three-year program, each student is expected to design, implement, and complete a research project under advisor supervision, with their work culminating in a thesis. DBA students are also encouraged to use their thesis as the basis for papers that appear in academic journals or for book publication.

Each DBA student is assigned a thesis advisor when enrolled. The thesis advisor will work closely with the student to determine DBA course offerings that are appropriate for his/her areas of interest, and provide guidance to direct the student toward research that can potentially become a topic appropriate for the DBA thesis.

When the student has a better grasp and focus of a particular area of research that may evolve into thesis research, the student is expected to assemble a three-member DBA thesis committee. This committee will consist of the thesis advisor and two DBA faculty members whose expertise match the thesis topic.

The committee is committed to providing students support and guidance throughout the thesis writing process while respecting the individual student’s interests and goals. The committee will support the students in preparing for the DBA thesis proposal, and eventually the successful completion of the DBA thesis itself.

DBA students are required to take the designated courses in each year until they graduate as follows:
1st Year: Four Courses (Research Positioning, Advanced Research Positioning, Research Method, and any of the available course offerings from Advanced Research Methods), and the seminar

2nd Year: Two Courses (Research Positioning, Advanced Research Positioning) and the seminar, Proposal Defense & Committee Formation

3rd Year and beyond: One Course (Research Positioning) and the seminar.

During the program, there are opportunities to work as a research assistant (RA) or teaching assistant (TA) for their advisor or other faculty members.

【経営管理専攻　研究者養成コース】
一橋大学の前身である東京高等商業学校・東京商科大学は、産業界で活躍する人材のみならず、商学・経営学分野の優れた研究者・教育者を養成する機関でもありました。その伝統は、1953年に設置された大学院商学研究科を経て、2018年に発足した経営管理研究科によって、現在に至るまで受け継がれています。

大学院経営管理研究科経営管理専攻研究者養成コースの目的は、商学・経営学分野において質の高い研究を実現できる研究者を養成することにあります。

質の高い研究を実現するには、①創造的な研究成果を世に問うことができる高い研究能力、②学界において「知の発展」をグローバルに牽引するリーダーシップ、③社会科学の健全な発展に貢献するための高い倫理性を有しなければなりません。

これらを獲得して学位を授与された者は、経営、マーケティング、会計、金融ならびに関連諸分野を専門とする大学教員や、公的研究機関・民間シンクタンク等で研究員等として、活躍しています。こうした人材は、研究から得られる知見に基づいて産業界が直面する実践的な課題の解決にも有効な示唆を与えることのできる研究者として、社会に貢献することが期待されます。

【国際企業戦略専攻　DBAプログラム】
To complete a DBA thesis project, students are expected to:

a. Present their DBA thesis proposal at Advanced Research Positioning.
b. Secure approval from the DBA thesis committee consisting of the student’s advisor and two other faculty members, and
c. Successfully defend their thesis at the oral examination (Thesis Defense) against the thesis committee.
